You are cordially invited to
Camp Canvas: WINTER Edition
Check out our highlight reel for a taste of what to expect!
A 1-day campout with everything you need to know to get started using and building your course in Canvas, hosted by a team of expert Camp Canvas Counselors. Hungry campers will receive hot lunch by the fire.
What is it?
A full day of hands-on, interactive, and practical activities guided by your camp counselors, AKA our team of instructional designers and support specialists. You’ll leave camp with an arsenal of new skills, a Canvas course shell you’ve designed yourself, and ideas for how to maximize the tools and technologies available within it. The ideal campers are faculty and staff who are new to Canvas, curious about how it can support teaching and learning in their classroom, and interested in getting some support from a team of expert instructional designers. Whether your course is online, hybrid, or face-to-face, we’re here to help.
What isn’t it?
Camp Canvas is not your typical workshop. You’ll be in the driver’s seat, deciding what’s most important for you to learn about. If you’re looking for a more traditional session on Canvas basics, we encourage you to sign up for one of our upcoming Intro to Canvas sessions. We’ll also be focusing our attention on how Canvas can be used for instruction (credit and non-credit alike!). The workshop will not be geared toward the use of Canvas for committee work or similar projects.
